"Meet Bernie! Bernie is a male Bearded Dragon and is approximately a year old.

He was obtained through a local pet store after being returned and almost double the size of the other dragons he was housed with.

Bernie is super sweet and loves being the center of attention. In his day-to-day life, he can be seen throwing himself off of his basking spot into his water bowl.

He loves making messes for his mom.

Bernie loves his food. A few of his favourites include strawberries, carrots, and grub pie. We decided to let Bernie join the Mighty Gecko Galaxy team as we felt it was important to spread word on Bearded Dragon care. Often they are disregarded as being the “easy” reptile and, because of this, are known to be neglected.

 

In allowing Bernie to educate the public, we are hoping to bring awareness to this amazing species, while allowing for increased awareness of their husbandry. Syd has always been an amazing aunt to Bernie and he definitely loves when he goes and visits."
