CODE OF ETHICS: RIGHT TO REFUSE

Whether a first-time keeper or a first-time foster, we'll discuss all dos and don'ts and help you make sure that you're prepared. If an adopter or foster is seen as unfit or irresponsible, I will exercise my professional and ethical right to terminate the adoption or foster agreement at any time, and I will report you to the appropriate authorities if necessary.

Surrenders are accepted without judgement but if we have reason to believe there are more animals in your care that are in need of help, we will do what we can to make sure those animals are checked on.

DEPOSITS, HOLDS, and PAYMENTS

We require an adoption fee to compensate for our services. No animals will be held without a deposit and deposits are non-refundable. By agreeing, you acknowledge that if your interest in the adoption changes, your deposit will not be returned to you.

 

When fostering Leopard Geckos, we require an $80 deposit on the cost of equipment. This amount will be returned in full once our equipment is returned to us undamaged. If our equipment is damaged, the deposit is non-refundable.

 

50% deposits are required for any event bookings and are non-refundable. All birthday parties need to be booked at least 3 weeks in advance to give us enough time to properly plan the event. We allow one-time rebooking at our convenience. If you miss that second scheduled date or can't accommodate it, the service will be canceled and the deposit will not be returned to you.

Payments can be made through e-transfer, sent to mightygeckogalaxy@gmail.com. If being picked up and no hold is required, payment can be made in full and in cash upon arrival.

People that can't afford to pay the deposit, can't afford to adopt or foster, and we stand by this.

DONATIONS and MONTHLY UPDATES

Donations are made directly to Might Gecko Galaxy. 100% goes towards feeding, housing, and medical care for all of our current rescues, and towards travel fees for obtaining future rescues. PICK-UP and SHIPPING

All fosters are required to pick up the animal, drop off the animal, and plan to pick up food between Wednesday afternoon and Saturday. If running low on items, we need to know a week in advance to keep you stocked. If the animal requires any medical attention, we will pick up the animal and bring it to our exotic vet. We should be contacted immediately if there is anything wrong with the emergency contact information you are given.
